Twitten Walk

On the 1st March 2025, the Society sent a formal project proposal to Mid Sussex District Council. This project is based on the twitten leading to Balcombe Train Station from Newlands, and the site is named 'Twitten Walk'. We are currently waiting to hear back from the Council regarding our proposal; however, we intend to:

• Conduct ecological surveys targeting birds, reptiles, mammals, butterflies, moths, and plants.

• Plant a native wildflower meadow that benefits pollinators.

• Introduce natural niches to the environment, such as log piles, bug hotels, etc.
