Our Team

Ethan McLaughlan is the Chair of the society. He is currently studying three A-levels in Environmental Sciences, Geology and Politics. Ethan is currently employed as a Seasonal Ecologist with RammSanderson and sits on Balcombe Parish Council as the Youth & Environment Representative.
Ethan has a passion for all things wildlife, with an emphasis on reptiles, mammals, and amphibians. He is working towards his Level 1 hazel dormouse license.
Ethan enjoys learning new things, sharing fun facts, and helping out around the community.

Lauren Murray is the Vice Chair of the society. Lauren has a Master's Degree in species identification and survey techniques and a Bachelor's (Hons) Degree in Conservation Biology and Ecology.
Lauren has a passion for plants, newts, and bats. Being a former Ecologist, Lauren has hands-on experience in ecological surveys.

Libby Wright is the within the society. She is currently studying three A-levels in Environmental Sciences, Biology, and Chemistry. Also, Libby is currently completing her Science CREST project in mycorrhizal associations and biodiversity.
Libby has a passion for all things wildlife, with a sweet tooth for butterflies & moths, birds, and plants.
